My favorite is Warsaw Boutique-capsule Hostel located in the former mental asylum. Guests have no idea.

I guess snails were not available at the time https://www.theguardian.com/news/ng-interactive/2025/dec/04/... https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46241159

Fully loaded one way FPV drone peaks at over 1KW. Electronics is maybe 1% (excluding transmitters) of what drone uses for lift, its insignificant. Its all about availability and price. Lower nodes do not give you any price advantage.

No AI is being used to calculate trajectories :) Its good old calculus and differential equations.

AMD didnt clean room 386, nor even 486. AMD directly copied Intel microcode 100% 1:1 for 386, and later admitted to copying parts for 486 (smm? ice?). Sept. 4, 1993 LA Times article:

>AMD said Friday that its “independently derived” 486 microprocessor borrowed some microcode from Intel’s earlier 386 chip.

Borrowed hehe. Ended up in a 1995 settlement where AMD fully admitted copying and agreed to pay $58mil penalty in exchange for official license to 386 & 486 microcodes and infamous patent 338(mmu). Intel really wanted a legal win confirming validity of their patent 338 to threaten other competitors. 338 is what prevented sale of UMC Green 486 in USA. Cyrix bypassed the issue by manufacturing at SGS and TI who had full Intel license https://law.justia.com/cases/federal/district-courts/FSupp/8...

>were able to achieve better performance

Every single Am386 instruction executes at same cycle count as Intel counterpart, difference is only official ability to work at 40MHz.

yep, thus intel going microcode and patent route.

Looks like one of those Australian World Solar Challenge EVs, but is 20 times less efficient. Whats not to love about marketing ...

TI had similar idea with TI-99/4 - running interpreted BASIC programs using BASIC written in special interpreted language (GPL) running in its own virtual machine, with actual CPU machine code executing from ram accessible thru single byte window of Video processor. Really brilliant system, turtles all the way down.

I can totally see some middle managers swallowing "You get used to it, I don't even see the code, All I see is blond, brunette, redhead" sales pitch.

The answer is its not a data center. Trump watched Alex Garland's Civil War (2024), maybe even requested intelligence briefing on putin's Palace bunker.
