I expect in 10 years most health insurance premiums will just be used to travel to either Canada or Mexico to get treatment. The United States will no longer have a functioning healthcare system (not that it’s anywhere near functioning today)

What are the odds of the DEA simply saying "Nope!"?

I don’t think they solve any engineering challenges. It’s just a fun way to vibe as far as I can tell.

What are we distracting from this time?

I don't think it has to be something specific, even just that there was moment of where he wasn't the main character.

We're talking about a guy who saw that Rob Reiner died and he had to make it about himself.

The Epstein files, I’d imagine.

And Ghislaine asking for charges to be dropped just before more Epstein data is about to be released.

literally my first thought every time I read an article about her. She's either the least photogenic person ever, or this is intentional.

Perhaps she is just unattractive…

I really really miss the internet of the 90s/early 00s. So much wonder that is missing today.

From what I can tell (I briefly considered renting an apt in Nuremberg), rent is very affordable, even considering low German salaries.

People who can afford to pay $1 million for residency will not do it, because that means having to pay taxes on your worldwide income, which is exactly what a person who can afford to pay $1M doesn’t want.

8200 is mandatory military service.

This is not written in the article. Can you give a source? Since based on linkedin he was not in the army since 1991....

(And I mean any source for any of your assumptions...)

No. I was responding to the implied claim that mandatory service generally absolves a person of any form of complicity.

This is very cool. I remember when I was a kid growing up in Israel, we had to severely ration our water usage, and everyone had to install special adapters in showers and faucets to limit water pressure. Amazing how in the span of a single generation they went from not having enough water to having an excess.

Hopefully they can stop closing the water valve to Gaza when they feel like.

prior to oct7 israel was supplying only 15% of water used in gaza. iirc.

Yes, and Gaza has to pay for the water. It's not free. Sometimes they pay, but get no water in return.

actually gaza doesn't pay. PA pays. sometimes. because they all the time fight with hamas in gaza, and stop paying to israel for water/electricity in gaza

I meant they pay taxes, which pay for the water. PA signs the check I can agree.

money that hamas collects as taxes in gaza do not go to PA. it goes to hamas
