Hi HN, I've been playing around with this in my spare time. I'm interested in some programming language benchmarks that attempt to bench some more rudimentary work than what you might see in The Computer Language Benchmarks Game or other similar benchmarks focusing on the implementation of algorithms.

There's not much here yet, but I'm interested in people's thoughts on benchmarking.

I know this has been done before, but I don't see too many practical benchmarks.
